Salary and Benefits

BayCare offers residents a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. BayCare also covers some expenses for residents, including some board exams and licensing fees. Click below to learn more about salary & benefits for all residents. Please note that some university-sponsored residency programs may have a different salary and benefits package.

Applicant Criteria

Applications will be accepted through the program's choice of application system (ERAS/ResidencyCAS) and we will utilize the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for ranking and matching with our applicants. Please make sure the following items are included in your electronic application.

  • CV
  • Personal statement
  • Medical school transcripts
  • Medical school performance evaluation (MSPE) or Dean’s letter
  • Official USMLE (Step 1, Step 2CK, Step 2CS), COMLEX (Level 1, Level 2-CE, Level 2-PE)
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • If applicable, ECFMG certificate
  • Initially, BayCare residency programs will not consider applications requiring J1 or H1B visa sponsorship
