St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital in Tampa is a dedicated women’s health center offering comprehensive, high-quality obstetric, gynecologic and neonatal care. As a resident, you’ll train in a hospital dedicated to women’s services, providing unparalleled exposure, continuity of care and hands-on experience in a focused environment.

Curriculum

The residency program follows a 13-block schedule, with each block consisting of a four-week rotation. Residents participate in a weekly protected half-day dedicated to didactic activities. Additional educational opportunities include journal club, morbidity and mortality conference, simulation sessions and other structured learning activities.

Stephanie Jean-Baptiste, DO, Program Director OBGYN Residency

Stephanie Jean-Baptiste, DO - Program Director

Dr. Jean-Baptiste is a board-certified OB/GYN physician affiliated with St. Joseph’s Women’s Hospital and part of BayCare Health System. She earned a medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Bayfront Medical Center. She has spent more than six years as a core faculty member, training OB/GYN residents. As Program Director, Dr. Jean-Baptiste oversees resident education at a hospital dedicated exclusively to women’s health, providing trainees with exposure to high-volume obstetrics and gynecology, minimally invasive and complex surgical cases and a level IV neonatal intensive care unit. Her leadership emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care, high clinical standards and advanced surgical and perinatal training.
