Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Inpatient cardiac rehabilitation works to improve a patient’s exercise tolerance and quality of life. It uses an exercise program that includes educational therapeutic exercise, nutrition, and stress reduction. Pulmonary rehabilitation is a process to improve breathing, expand the lungs, strengthen respiratory muscles and rid the airways of secretions. It can involve strength and conditioning exercises, education, nutrition, respiratory medications, oxygen-delivery devices and oxygen monitoring.
