Ear Surgical Correction

Ear deformity is common in children, happening when the ear protrudes farther than normal from the skull. This abnormality can occur in the upper, middle or lower part of the ear and can be caused by excess ear cartilage or unordinary positioning or folding of the cartilage when the ear forms. Surgical procedures include removal of excess cartilage or specialized creation and suturing to alleviate protrusion and reposition the ear.
