Skin Grafting

A skin graft surgery is when a portion of skin is taken from one area of the body and transplanted, connected or attached to another area of the body. Skin grafts are done when a large amount of skin is lost due to infection, burns, cancer and other surgeries. They are also performed for vein ulcers, diabetic ulcers, skin that breaks down from something pushing or rubbing against it and for large wounds.
