Vertigo
More than half of patients with vertigo have a condition called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), which is caused by a build-up of calcium carbonate crystals in an inner ear canal.
Treatment Options
A one-time treatment can usually cure the sudden, violent paroxysms of vertigo and restore balance. BPPV does not damage the body’s balance system or cause symptoms between attacks. Patients receive one-time therapy, or intermittent therapy appropriate to their diagnosis.
