Getting Your Kids to Eat Their Veggies
Try different vegetables in different ways, like standing broccoli florets in mashed potatoes and calling them "trees in the snow."
Steam vegetables lightly so they taste better.
Eat vegetables yourself as a good example to your kids.
Go to a farm where you can pick your own vegetables, or plant a garden.
Cut carrots, celery or green peppers into dipping sticks and serve with a low-fat dip.
Use red bell peppers, bright carrot strips and different types of lettuce to brighten up the meal. Bake shoestring "fries" out of sweet potatoes.
Don't give up: They might eat those green beans next time.
