We are pleased you have chosen Mease Countryside Hospital for your spinal surgery. Learning as much as you can about your spine and your spinal procedure in the days before your surgery will help you play a more active role in your recovery. That's why our health care professionals developed a class as well as a book for our patients who are going to have spine surgery. It is our hope that it will increase your general knowledge of spine health, help you prepare for surgery and guide you through recovery.

Spine Class

Our pre-op Spine Class is a helpful, free course for patients preparing for spine surgery. This class is recommended for all spine patients. In this class you will learn:

• How to prepare for your surgery
• What to expect during your hospital stay
• Ways to achieve a successful recovery
• How to prepare for discharge

Your Guide To Spine Surgery Book

You will be given our "Your Guide to Spine Surgery" book either in our spine class or when you arrive at the hospital. You can also download a copy here so you may review it at home.
