Starting to Feel Better

Aaah … As you move into your second trimester, your raging hormones start to balance out. This usually means you’ll feel much-needed relief from some of your most unpleasant pregnancy symptoms, like:

  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Fatigue
  • Anxiety
  • Mood swings
  • Breast tenderness
  • Insomnia

You’ll probably also feel pretty darn cute, as a definite pregnant belly starts to show (but it’s not so big that it’s uncomfortable). Your hair probably looks thicker and shinier, and your skin and nails are looking better than ever.

All in all, the second trimester is usually the most pleasant part of pregnancy. It’s a great time to do all of those things you haven’t felt like doing in months, like setting up baby’s room, shopping for tiny clothing and necessary gear, and maybe even taking a little vacation (or just a romantic evening) with your partner
