For patients who are medically stable but require extended hospitalization and intensive nursing care, we offer long-term care solutions. BayCare Alliant Hospital is our long-term acute care hospital (LTCH), housed on the first floor of Mease Dunedin Hospital. Also, the Madonna Ptak Morton Plant Rehabilitation Center offers inpatient physical, occupational, speech and medical rehabilitation services for those requiring additional nursing care and therapy services following an acute inpatient stay.

BayCare Alliant Hospital

BayCare Alliant Hospital, our long-term acute care hospital, accepts patients requiring cardiac care, complex medical/multisystem failures, infectious disease issues, rehabilitation needs, respiratory care, ventilator weaning and wound care. A typical patient stay at BayCare Alliant Hospital is 25 days or more, depending on the diagnosis and medical needs of the patient.

The Madonna Ptak Morton Plant Rehabilitation Center offers inpatient physical, occupational, speech and medical rehabilitation services for those requiring additional nursing care and therapy services following an acute inpatient stay. Specialized programs include neurological, orthopaedic, cardiac, pulmonary, wound care, and infections disease.
