Breast Clinical Nurse Navigators
Breast clinical nurse navigators are a foundational part of the team at our centers. To help reduce the confusion, frustration and fear of the unknown, your dedicated breast clinical nurse navigator guides and supports you and your family from diagnosis through treatment and into survivorship. They also help coordinate the scheduling process, so you can get the right care at the right time with less stress.
Integrated Care Model
At BayCare’s Comprehensive Breast Care Centers, we help coordinate your care. All the physicians you work with across the BayCare system, from your primary care physician to specialists to your surgeon and oncologists, have visibility into your care and can provide input into your breast care journey. What is a fellowship-trained breast surgeon?
A fellowship-trained breast surgeon has completed a surgical residency and has had additional training in breast surgery or oncology. At BayCare’s Comprehensive Breast Care Centers, you’re treated by these surgeons who have received specialized training in all aspects of breast cancer care. -
I'm concerned about a family history of breast cancer. Is genetic testing available?Yes. Patients can receive timely referrals for genetic counseling and testing.
