Curriculum

The Family Medicine Residency Program is designed to fulfill the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) competencies in Patient Care, Medical Knowledge, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, Professionalism, Practice-Based Learning and Improvement, and Systems-Based Practice. The curriculum offers a balanced learning environment within various settings and rotations in a variety of areas and specialties.

The ACGME enforces clinical and educational work hours that don’t exceed 80 hours per week averaged over a four-week period. Residents must be scheduled for a minimum of one day in seven free of clinical work and required education (when averaged over four weeks). For the sake of our residents’ well-being and safety, we support and maintain these clinical and educational work hour regulations upheld by all faculty.
