This has enabled her to remain in a stimulating academic environment, provide indigent care for the community, and still be a cradle-to-grave primary care provider. Dr. Lawrence's professional interests include pediatrics, women's health, obesity, and medical student education. She served for years as Medical Director of the Turley Family Health Center, Chairman of the Clinical Competency Committee, and a preceptor for the USF COM Doctoring 1 course before becoming Program Director in 2022.
In 2016, she was the recipient of the FAFP Exemplary Full-Time Educator of the Year award. She is board-certified in obesity medicine and aided in developing our program’s weight management clinic.
In her free time, Dr. Lawrence enjoys spending quality time with her two children, husband, and extended family. She enjoys paddle boarding on Florida’s beautiful coast, running and reading.
