Dr. Huot attended college and medical school at the University of Florida, and completed residency training at the USF-MPM Family Medicine Residency Program. During her residency, she also became a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200) and taught a weekly yoga class for the physicians and staff at Turley Family Health Center. She served as Chief Resident during her third year.
Upon completing residency in 2010, Dr. Huot joined BayCare Medical Group. After several years cultivating a busy outpatient-based practice, she felt a strong calling back to academia and began teaching as a community preceptor for the USF-MPM Family Medicine residents a few days per month. In 2018, she transitioned to a full-time faculty position with the program to fully pursue her teaching passion. Her professional areas of interest include geriatrics, women’s health, Functional Medicine and Integrative Medicine. She also serves on the BayCare Medical Group Quality and Safety Committee.
In her downtime, Dr. Huot enjoys family time with her husband and two daughters. They love camping and exploring Florida’s state parks. She practices yoga, and also enjoys running, weightlifting and rollerskating. Her other interests include reading and cooking.
