Morton Plant Hospital History Photo Exhibit Opens at Clearwater Library

100 Years of Morton Plant Hospital

CLEARWATER, Fla., (July 14, 2016) -- As part of its 100th Anniversary Celebration, Morton Plant Hospital has opened a photo history exhibit, “100 Years of Morton Plant Hospital,” at the main branch of the Clearwater Public Library, 100 N Osceola Avenue, Clearwater.

The exhibit is a pictorial history depicting Morton Plant Hospital’s 100 years of service to the community. Exhibits will include photos of people who have helped shape and nurture the hospital, medical advances over the last century and the new Doyle Tower under construction at Morton Plant Hospital.

“We are grateful that the Clearwater Public Library has allowed us to use this public venue to visually convey Morton Plant Hospital’s rich history to our community,” said Kris Hoce, president of Morton Plant Hospital.

The exhibit, housed in the Carnegie Gallery, will be open to the public during normal library hours through the end of the year. The Clearwater Main Library is open Monday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Please note that in September library hours are expected to change slightly.
