Our Facility and Services
The Cassidy Cancer Center features an inpatient oncology unit as well as outpatient services including physicians’ clinics, dedicated infusion and radiation therapy areas, and specialized surgical oncology services.
Winter Haven Hospital's inpatient oncology unit features 25 private rooms. Our inpatient care team includes physicians, certified oncology nurses, social workers, psychologists, pastoral care, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, dietitians, and pain management specialists. Our team works together to provide the highest quality of care.
Our outpatient infusion area, where chemotherapy, blood, and other cancer treatments are administered, offers the entire spectrum of medical oncology infusion treatments. Our outpatient radiation therapy area uses precisely planned and delivered doses of radiation in the treatment of cancer using the TrueBeam Linear Accelerator.
Our Team
Our board-certified oncologist offices are located within the Cassidy Cancer Center, to ensure that they are available to you at any time during treatment.
Our oncology Nurse Navigator guides patients throughout their individual cancer care journey and is an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers. The Nurse Navigator educates patients, coordinates office visits and treatments, and connects patients with support groups and other resources available to them.
Resources & Support
Our Cancer Resource Room offers support to navigate cancer diagnosis and treatment as well as any needs associated with life after remission. Cancer support group information and access to literature, wigs turbans, scarves, and hats, are just a few support services provided.
Chaplaincy services offer spiritual care to all who are in need, connecting patients to resources of faith and spirituality so they can more effectively cope with life and death issues.
Support groups are available to you and your caregivers, including Woman to Woman Cancer Support Group, Man to Man Support Group, an Ovarian Cancer Support Group, and a Caregivers Support Group. For more information about our oncology resources or support groups, call 863-291-6095.
