Diabetes and Endocrinology Services

Every day, more than 4,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with diabetes. With nearly 26 million children and adults afflicted with the disease in the U.S. and an additional 79 million at risk for type 2 diabetes, diabetes has reached epidemic proportions.

South Florida Baptist Hospital’s Diabetes Program is accredited through the American Diabetes Association and offers classes to provide education and support to people living with diabetes. Participants will learn how to manage blood sugars effectively in dynamic and interactive sessions. Educators review meal planning, blood sugar monitoring, medications, physical activity opportunities, and much more. Classes are offered in both English and Spanish and require physician referral.
