Curriculum

Mease Countryside Hospital’s Internal Medicine program uses a 4 + 1 system; 4 weeks on rotation followed by a week of continuity clinic. This schedule is used to promote a more balanced clinical training environment with dedicated time for education and personal time, which is important for resident well-being.

Each year consists of eleven, four-week block rotations followed by a week of clinic. Residents have varying schedules based on their individual training track, with each providing an excellent foundation in general internal medicine and subspecialty care.
