Butros Bazo, MD
Internal Medicine Residency Program Director
Dr. Bazo is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the ABIM. He is a graduate of Damascus University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Saint Barnabas Hospital in New York. Dr. Bazo has been a hospitalist since 2010, beginning his career as a Chief Medical Resident and then appointed as the Associate Program Director for a 90-resident Internal Medicine Residency Program in New York. Dr. Bazo continued his academic career as a member of a large hospitalist group at John Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland before relocating to the Tampa Bay Area to join the hospitalist staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He’s an enthusiastic hospitalist and enjoys working with an interdisciplinary, inter-professional team. Dr. Bazo is an avid educator, and his passion is teaching residents and medical students the art of medicine and patient-centered care.
