BayCare Celebrates its Extraordinary Team with Super Bowl Commercial

You can lean on BayCare. 

That’s the message delivered in a series of commercials celebrating extraordinary nurses that will debut on Sunday, Feb. 12, during America’s most-watched football game. 

 In the signature piece, several BayCare nurses sing a cappella Bill Withers’ classic “Lean on Me.”  

“Four months into my time at BayCare, I want the world to know we are one of the nation’s highest-performing large health systems,” said BayCare President and CEO Stephanie Conners. “I want there to be no mistake that is because of our extraordinary team members and our affiliated physicians and advanced practice providers who provide high quality, compassionate care for our patients.”  

Conners, who began her career as a nurse, participated in the filming of the commercial that drew dozens of nurses to participate from across the health system’s West Central Florida footprint. The commercials were shot in the past two weeks at the almost-complete BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel, which will open as the health system’s 16th hospital in mid-March. 

The celebration of BayCare team members also includes two other spots that will air on Sunday before and after the Super Bowl. But it is the “Lean on Me” spot that most struck a chord with Conners, who has made it a priority since joining the organization in October to travel across BayCare’s service area to meet team members on the front line. 

“What I have witnessed over and over again is the highest-quality of health care being delivered with an amazing, compassionate culture,” Conners said. “That is worth celebrating.”
