BayCare Reaches Agreement with Florida Blue

BayCare Health System announced it has reached a new agreement with Florida Blue to protect patients’ in-network access to the physicians and facilities they know and trust. 

“We are very pleased to have this agreement behind us so that we can focus on what matters most, our patients,” said BayCare CEO and President Tommy Inzina. “All along, our goal has been to reach an agreement with Florida Blue that allows BayCare to continue to meet the needs of our patients and our community today and far into the future. We look forward to continuing to provide these patients with high-quality, compassionate care.” 

Because BayCare and Florida Blue reached agreement before their current contract ended, there will be no interruption in service for patients. Also, the primary care physician reassignment Florida Blue sent to HMO plan members will NOT take effect and those Florida Blue customers’ will remain assigned to their trusted BayCare physician.
