Organizers for the 37th annual event working to reschedule later this year

St. Petersburg, FL., (March 17, 2020) – The St. Anthony’s Triathlon is postponing its weekend of events, scheduled for April 24-26, 2020. Organizers of the 37th annual event are working with the city of St. Petersburg and USA Triathlon (USAT) to find a date later this year.

“The health and well-being of our athletes, volunteers and all those who would be part of the event are of the utmost importance to us,” said St. Anthony’s Hospital President Scott Smith. “With the number of COVID-19 cases increasing, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has recommended canceling or postponing large events for eight weeks. As such, we are postponing our event until further notice.”

If the Triathlon is unable to be rescheduled this year, information will be provided about refunds or registration deferment to a future race. Triathlon organizers also will work with  vendors who were scheduled to be at the three-day Sports & Fitness Expo.
