CLEARWATER, Fla., (Aug. 28, 2020) – Board certified cardiothoracic surgeon Jeffrey N. Bott, MD, MBA, has joined BayCare Medical Group and is affiliated with Morton Plant and St. Anthony’s hospitals.

Dr. Bott earned his undergraduate degree and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Florida. After completing a general surgery residency at Emory University in Atlanta and serving as chief resident, Dr. Bott returned to the University of Florida College of Medicine to complete a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship.

Dr. Bott’s clinical interests include aortic surgery, heart bypass surgery, endovascular repair, heart valve repair or replacement, and surgery for atrial fibrillation. His work has been featured in numerous peer-reviewed publications, including The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, The Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia and The Journal of Heart Valve Diseases.

He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Chest Physicians, as well as a current member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Southern Medical Association, American College of Cardiology, the Southeastern Surgical Congress, the Southern Thoracic Surgical Association, and past president of the Florida Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons.
