St. Anthony’s Hospital Invites Community to Health Seminars

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., (Aug. 13, 2018) -- St. Anthony’s Hospital health experts invite the community to attend seminars in September that will focus on osteoarthritis, joint pain and aging; weight loss surgery information and smoking cessation. There also will be free memory screenings offered. The monthly seminars are free to the public. 

Weight Loss Surgery Information
Tuesday, Sept. 4
Noon

Take the first step to weight loss surgery and attend an information session. Jamii St. Julien, MD, will explain various options.

Memory Screenings
Tuesday, Sept. 11 and Tuesday, Sept. 25
10 a.m.-noon
St. Anthony’s Hospital, Main Lobby, 1200 Seventh Ave. N, St. Petersburg

Weight Loss Surgery Information

Learn about weight loss surgery by attending an information session. Kevin Huguet, MD, will explain various options.

Smoking Cessation Class
Saturday, Sept. 15

St. Anthony’s Hospital Classroom D, First Floor, 1200 Seventh Ave. N, St. Petersburg

This two-hour class provides valuable tools to help you quit using tobacco including coping with cravings and physical and emotional symptoms. The class includes free aids to help quit using tobacco while supplies last. 

Osteoarthritis, Joint Pain and Aging
Thursday, Sept. 27
Noon
St. Anthony’s Hospital Classroom D, First Floor, 1200 Seventh Ave. N, St. Petersburg

Rheumatologist Fellipe M. Oliveira, MD, will discuss common arthritic issues including joint pain, osteoarthritis and aging and will explain the latest treatment options available.

Weight Loss Surgery Information
