North Greenwood Community Health Fair to Ofer Free Health Screenings and Information

CLEARWATER, Fla., (September 27, 2017) -- In an effort to improve the health of the community, Mt. Olive AME Church has partnered with BayCare and several community organizations to host the North Greenwood Community Health Fair Saturday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The free event will be at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 1201 Douglas Ave., Clearwater.

Morton Plant Mease Faith Community Nurses are facilitating the event.  Free services scheduled to be offered include:

  • Blood pressure screenings
  • Body mass index/obesity screenings
  • Total cholesterol testing
  • Health risk assessments
  • Flu vaccines
  • Glucose testing
  • Depression screenings
  • Advance directive information
  • Nutritional information
  • Diabetes prevention information
  • Cancer prevention information
  • Heart health tips
  • Substance abuse prevention information
Medical professionals will provide consultation, educational materials and community resources.

Preregistration and fasting are not necessary for the tests.
