BayCare Brings Comprehensive Health Center to New Tampa

The New Facility Provides Multiple Health Care Services in One Convenient Location

Tampa, Fla., (October 31, 2017) – BayCare Health System continues to expand access to health care in the Tampa Bay area. The organization opened a new BayCare Health Center to provide care for patients in the New Tampa and Wesley Chapel communities.

The new health center, located at 17512 Dona Michelle Drive, Tampa, FL 33647, offers multiple health care services under one location including BayCare Urgent Care, BayCare Laboratories, BayCare Outpatient Imaging and BayCare Medical Group. This is BayCare’s first health center in that area.

“We’re proud to bring the first BayCare Health Center to the New Tampa and Wesley Chapel neighborhoods,” said Jim Cote, senior vice president for Ambulatory Services at BayCare Health System. “With the new facility, we’re giving these communities easy access to high quality and compassionate care – under one roof.”

The 10,800 square-foot health center is equipped to serve patients with various health care needs. Outpatient Imaging provides screenings for mammography, ultrasound, x-ray and bone density testing. Laboratories offer adult and pediatric lab draws and glucose tolerance testing. Urgent Care provides care for patients with minor injuries and illnesses seven days a week, without prior appointment.

BayCare Medical Group also hired Christine Jackson, DO, board certified physician in family medicine, to serve patients with primary care needs. Dr. Jackson is scheduled to begin in Jan. 2018. To enhance patient experience, the center’s BayCare Urgent Care and BayCare Laboratories allow visitors to schedule their appointments online through Save Your Spot.
