CLEARWATER, Fla., (October 6, 2017) –Board certified family physician Lorenzo O. Hernandez, MD, has joined BayCare Medical Group. He is accepting new patients at 6801 Fourth St. N, St. Petersburg.

Dr. Hernandez earned both his Master of Science and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Florida State University College of Medicine in Tallahassee. Then, he completed his residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.

Dr. Hernandez has contributed numerous articles to peer-reviewed publications. His professional interests include sports-related injuries and procedures, as well as preventative care and chronic disease management.

He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine.
