BayCare Names Sarah Naumowich President of Morton Plant North Bay

May 22, 2017
CLEARWATER, Fla., (May 22, 2017) — BayCare Health System has named Sarah Naumowich president of Morton Plant North Bay Hospital.

Naumowich has been serving as interim president since early January, stepping up from her previous position as director of operations when Mike Yungmann left his post as president to accept a new position out of state.

“Sarah’s promotion is an example of an executive leader who has grown and advanced in her health care career within the BayCare System,’’ said Kris Hoce, Senior Vice President, Market Leader of Morton Plant Mease Health Care. “Her strategic vision, unfailing commitment to excellence and her knowledge in planning and operations management will serve Morton Plant North Bay well as it continues to grow to serve the community.’’

She joined BayCare in 1998 and has been at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital since 2007, where she has been responsible for operations, expansion, planning for meeting community needs and providing leadership support for projects across the BayCare system.

At Morton Plant North Bay, she led the renovation of the Mitchell Rehabilitation Hospital, which specializes in neurological and orthopedic inpatient rehabilitation. Completed last August, the facility now offers 30 private patient rooms, additional space for patient treatment and therapy, larger gym space, a training apartment and an outside course featuring different walking surfaces.

She presently is overseeing a two-year, $24.7 million renovation project that will result in an expanded emergency department at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital with a new main entrance that opened last December.

Naumowich will draw from her experience in working with key community organizations as she begins serving on the boards of the Pasco Economic Development Council and the Good Samaritan Health Clinic of Pasco.

She is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she received an associate’s degree, and the University of South Florida, where she received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and an MBA.
