BayCare Urgent Care Goes to St. Pete Beach

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., (January 4, 2017) – BayCare continues to expand access to health care by opening its 13th Urgent Care Center in the Tampa Bay area. Located in St. Pete Beach at 6455 Gulf Blvd., the center provides beach residents and visitors a convenient alternative to health care for minor illnesses or injuries, flu and colds, sprains and strains, minor cuts, stings and burns.  

“This location is close to many popular St. Pete Beach destinations and can provide residents and visitors with expedited health care right where they want to stay,” said Nathan Keith Waldrep, MD, director of physician services, BayCare Urgent Care. “It is important to have a location in this area for visitors and seasonal residents who might be far from their physician.”

BayCare Urgent Care centers offer total care experience including X-rays, EKG’s, lab, flu shots, school and sports physicals and dispensing of certain medications. They also offer occupational health services including post-hire physicals, vaccinations, drug screenings, treatment for workplace injuries and corporate wellness. 

For added convenience, patients can schedule their appointments online with Save Your Spot. Save Your Spot allows patients to make a reservation at any BayCare Urgent Care location and choose a time that is most convenient. Patients receive a confirmation for their reservation and alerts by text. Save Your Spot can be accessed through www.BayCareUrgentCare.org using a smartphone, tablet or computer.
