Rebecca Schulkowski Named Director of Surgical Services
She comes to St. Anthony’s from Virginia
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., (August 9, 2017) --Rebecca Schulkowski has been selected as the Surgical Services Director for St. Anthony’s Hospital and began her new role May 8.
With 16 years of hospital experience, Schulkowski comes to St. Anthony’s from the Riverside Health System in Newport News, Va., where she served as the system director of perioperative services. Riverside Health System includes five acute care hospitals and three ambulatory surgery centers.

Schulkowski brings financial expertise and operational performance improvement skills to her new position. She also has a track record of building multidisciplinary, diverse, patient-centered teams that improved both outcomes and satisfaction.

Schulkowski brings both clinical and administrative experience to St. Anthony’s. After earning her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Schulkowski served her pharmacy residency at John Cochran Veterans Affairs Medical Center in St. Louis. She returned to Baltimore to begin her career with Mercy Medical Center where she stayed for seven years as both a clinical pharmacist and then a pharmacy clinical coordinator.
Schulkowski then served four years as the director of pharmacy including affiliated surgical centers, oncology department, infusion centers and care provider-based clinics at Cardinal Health in Newport News, Va.
In 2013, Schulkowski completed Boston University’s Pharmacy Leadership Institute and earned an MBA in Health Care Administration from Wilmington University in Wilmington, Del. She is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist.
