New Director of Physician Services at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital
NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla., (April, 25, 2017) -- BayCare Health System has named John Haffner, MD, to its physician leadership team as director, physician services for Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. Dr. Haffner started in late March.
“Dr. Haffner has a proven record of success in leadership roles, and we are excited to have him on our staff,’’ said Sarah Naumowich, interim president at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. “He understands the BayCare values and is fully aligned with our mission to bring high-quality, compassionate care to all of our patients.’’
Dr. Haffner served as medical director of the pediatric intensive care unit at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital for more than 10 years and was a pediatric intensive care physician at Tampa General Hospital for more than 20.
He completed medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine and did his residency in pediatrics at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis. Dr. Haffner also had a fellowship at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
