Program Provides Free Mammograms for Uninsured Women
OLDSMAR, FL (January 23, 2015) – The Mammography Voucher Program at Morton Plant Mease will benefit from the upcoming 2015 DRIVE FOR A CURE golf tournament.
The golf benefit is held to raise awareness about breast health and support local efforts to offer free mammograms through the Mammography Voucher Program.
DRIVE FOR A CURE golf event, organized by the East Lake Woodlands golfers, will be on Friday, February 27, 2015, at the East Lake Woodlands Country Club, 1055 East Lake Woodlands Pkwy., Oldsmar, FL.
The charitable golf tournament invites both men and women to participate. Check-in starts at 11:30 a.m.; a Shotgun start is at 1 p.m.; Dinner and Auction begin at 5 p.m.
Proceeds from the DRIVE FOR A CURE golf event will benefit the Mammography Voucher Program services at Morton Plant Mease, as well as the Florida Suncoast Affiliate of Susan G. Komen. The Mammography Voucher Program provides free breast screenings, diagnostics, and treatments for uninsured or underinsured women in Pinellas County. Last year, event organizers donated more than $35,000 to help provide breast health education and screenings.
