St. Joseph’s Hospital-North Celebrates 5th Anniversary
Lutz, Fla., (February 20, 2015)- It’s been five years since St. Joseph’s Hospital-North opened in Lutz, giving residents an opportunity to receive quality health care close to home. When it began treating patients on February 15, 2010, St. Joseph’s Hospital-North became the first hospital to open in Hillsborough County in 30 years.
With its focus on patient experience, state-of-the art technology and environmentally-friendly design, St. Joseph’s Hospital-North set a new standard for health care in the community.
Nearly half a million people have visited a loved one in our facility since it opened. In fact, over the past five years, St. Joseph’s Hospital-North:
- Delivered more than 1,700 babies
- Treated nearly 220,000 of patients
- Logged 15,284 volunteer service hours
- Performed 13,783 surgeries
- Completed 9,010 endoscopies

In 2014, Dr. Pamela Twitty performed the first single-site robotic hysterectomy in Hillsborough County at St. Joseph’s Hospital-North.
