BayCare Urgent Care Opens Location in North Pinellas County
CLEARWATER, Fla., (Dec. 21, 2015) – BayCare Urgent Care has opened its fourth location in Pinellas County with a new center in Clearwater near Mease Countryside Hospital. The North Pinellas County center, located at 3351 McMullen Booth Road, will provide residents with convenient and timely access to treatment for minor illnesses or injuries.
This is BayCare’s 10th Urgent Care center to open in the Tampa Bay area since Fall 2014.
“For the past year, BayCare Urgent Care has sought to bring efficient and compassionate care to residents throughout the Tampa Bay area. Our network of 10 Urgent Care centers has the goal to provide efficient and individualized care to our communities,” said Nathan Keith Waldrep, MD, director of physician services, BayCare Urgent Care. “We are conveniently located with extended hours to provide residents with care for minor aches, sprains and illnesses when they need it.”
Earlier this year, BayCare Urgent Care began offering a convenient reservation option for patients through Save Your Spot. Using a mobile device or computer, patients can make reservations and receive alerts to update wait times or to change reservations if necessary.
“Patients can wait where they choose before going to their nearby BayCare Urgent Care,” Dr. Waldrep said. “That helps reduce the amount of time spent in the waiting room.”
BayCare Urgent Care centers are conveniently located throughout the Tampa Bay area. Two centers are located in Clearwater while two other Pinellas County centers are in Largo and St. Petersburg. BayCare Urgent Care also has locations in Tampa, Valrico and New Port Richey.
All of BayCare’s Urgent Care centers are fully equipped to provide a total care experience including X-rays, lab work, EKGs and dispensing of certain medications. Among the medical conditions that may be treated without an appointment are minor illnesses and injuries, flu and colds, sprains and strains, minor cuts, stings and burns.
BayCare Urgent Care Centers offer flu shots, school and sports physicals, as well as occupational health services including post-hire physicals, drug screenings, treatment of workplace injuries, vaccinations and corporate wellness.
For patients needing a higher level of care, the center can offer efficient coordination of care through BayCare’s integrated health system.
In addition to the new center in Clearwater, BayCare Urgent Care locations include:
