BayCare Names Chief Strategy, Marketing Officer
Clearwater, Fla., (August 12, 2015) – BayCare Health System has named Ed Rafalski as chief strategy and marketing officer. He starts his new role in BayCare on Aug. 24.
“Ed was the best fit from a pool of great candidates during our extensive national search,” said Tommy Inzina, BayCare president and chief operating officer. “His educational and professional backgrounds make him uniquely qualified to help us in the coming years as we develop and implement strategies to prepare for the future of health care.”
At Methodist Le Bonheur, Rafalski was in a similar role and was responsible for all corporate planning, business development, market research, marketing, web services, public relations and communications. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, trained in Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence and a Six Sigma Black Belt with several publications in health care management literature and more than 20 years of experience in health care leadership.
Dr. Rafalski is an affiliate research professor at the University of Memphis School of Public Health, an adjunct professor for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and an adjunct professor at the University of Illinois School of Public Health. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago, a Master of Public Health from the Yale University School of Medicine, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Illinois School of Public Health.
