St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation Annual Gala Goes Off to the Races on Kentucky Derby Day

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (February 11, 2014) – Make plans now to run for the roses with fellow horse enthusiasts at the St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation “Derby Gala” on May 3. “Gates” open at 5 p.m. at the University Student Center at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, 200 Sixth Ave. S.

The Derby Gala, which will raise funds for the hospital’s Memory Disorders Center, will coincide with the 140th running of the Kentucky Derby which will be shown live at the event at 6:15 p.m. While the Kentucky Derby is considered the fastest two minutes in sports, the evening won’t end when the horses cross the finish line. There will be a special program, silent auction, dinner, a dessert and coffee bar and dancing.

Traditional Derby attire is encouraged – colorful dresses and wide-brimmed hats adorned with flowers and feathers. Black tie is optional.

Tickets start at $250 per guest. Event and table sponsorships also are available.
