CT-Guided Microwave Ablation
Microwave ablation is a procedure that utilizes electromagnetic waves to ablate (remove) diseased tissue. A computed tomography (CT) scan guides the physician as a thin, microwave antenna is inserted into the diseased tissue. The electromagnetic waves produce heat and ablate the affected area.
