Endoscopic Bronchial Ultrasound

St. Anthony’s is proud to offer our patients the endoscopic bronchial ultrasound. This is a new way to diagnose and stage lung and bronchial cancers. We are the only hospital in the Tampa Bay area to have this advanced technology.

Endoscopic Bronchial Ultrasound (EBUS)

EBUS combines ultrasound and endoscopic technology to provide a detailed view of your airway and lungs, which is extremely useful in staging a variety of lung diseases.

EBUS: What to Expect

• Procedure is performed while patient is under sedation
• This is usually an outpatient procedure
• Patient will need a safe ride home
