Robotic Surgery for Cancer
Robotic-assisted surgery offers patients a less invasive, more precise means of getting surgical treatment for cancer. Mease Countryside Hospital features the daVinci® Surgical System, which is the most advanced robotic technology available, for the treatment of prostate cancer, gynecological cancer and uterine cancer. Robotic surgery may not be the ideal treatment option for some patients; however, additional minimally invasive surgeries are available for patients who are not candidates for robotic surgery.
Breast Care Center
The Susan Cheek Needler Breast Center at Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, Florida, provides women a state-of-the-art facility that truly caters to their needs. The facility features a relaxing atmosphere and timely delivery of test results because the comfort and peace of mind of our patient is our top priority. Services offered include breast MRI, digital mammography, partial mastectomy and other treatments.
Our Breast Care Nurse Navigator is available to provide individualized guidance to anyone who has been diagnosed or treated for breast cancer. These services are provided at Morton Plant Hospital, free of charge. Our Breast Care Nurse Navigator follows patients throughout every aspect of treatment and assist as needed with coordination of care prescribed by the patient’s team of breast health specialists.

Our Cancer Patient Support Services (CaPSS) program is the only one of its kind in Pinellas County. The goal of the program is to provide complimentary resources to patients and their families so that you can get the information you need to make informed decisions about the path that your treatment will take.
Mease Countryside Hospital is also proud to offer patients and their families the Evelyn R. Simmers Oncology Resource Library, located on the oncology floor of the Shaffer Tower at Mease Countryside Hospital. This inviting space allows patients to access information on cancer research and treatments.
