With the rapid growth of new treatment options to heal previously non-healing wounds, wound care has become a recognized specialty of its own. Our wound care physicians have devoted their careers to the advancement of wound care and are among the only physicians locally to practice wound care on a full-time basis.

Our physicians are multiple board-certified including diplomate, American Academy of Wound Management (Certified Wound specialists); and diplomate, American Board of Preventive Medicine (subspecialty—Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine). These designations alone set our center apart as a true “center of excellence.”

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a treatment in which the patient breathes 100 percent oxygen while enclosed in a pressurized chamber at greater-than-normal atmospheric pressure. This treatment helps the body’s natural wound-healing mechanisms function more efficiently. When indicated, hyperbaric oxygen therapy significantly improves healing outcomes and greatly expedites the healing process.
