Dr Rivera-Amill is excellent. She is the only doctor that never fails to make me feel better. I used to be her patient before she joined BayCare. From now on I will use BayCare for every lab, imaging amd specialty so that Dr Rivera can coordinate my needs easily. She sees the whole person, not only the condition and Its symptoms. Shes great in suggesting lifestyle changes and encourages a proactive approach so that you can work as a team with her. And to make you a good team member she makes sure you understand everything she has to tell you. This has Increased my sense of accountability and confidence. Every time I had a question I have never felt uncomfortable asking, she encourages an open dialogue and together with her competence and professionalism, she offers a space that Is safe and free of judgment. Shes the best.

Dr. Rivera is very knowledgeable in her field of work, but is not very good at attending to her clients feelings on an emotional state. She tries to be sarcastic, but they just end up being rude or snarky. Like comments she makes, she honestly did not need to say that or anything at all. She does not makes me feel comfortable as a client. Specifically a comment she made was youre not special, trying to be funny be like you didnt have to say that at all.

Too much time focused on the computer and with my chronic health problems, I believe she should do a physical assessment on me during my bi-annual office visit, but she states she normally does them once a year during the Medicare annual appointment. Upon my request, she checked my heart and lungs, etc.

Ive recently developed high blood pressure, everyone is working diligently to get it under control. I cant thank them enough for the time and energy theyve invested in me.

No physical assessment was done by the doctor during this appointment to assess my chronic conditions. She Is very thorough working on the laptop computer asking questions, ordering prescriptions, and tests and reviewing the lab reports with me.
