- Dr. Joshua Hutchins is with the hospitalist program of St. Joseph’s Hospital-South. He provides only inpatient care within a hospital setting and is not available for appointments. He will be responsible for you and your loved one’s well-being while in our hospital and will partner with your primary care physician to assist on any necessary follow-up information that will assure a smooth transition once you return safely to your home. Dr. Hutchins specializes in internal medicine. He received his undergraduate degree in biology from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee, followed by a graduate degree in biomedical sciences from Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee. Dr. Hutchins earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Lincoln Memorial University/DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate. He followed that up with an internal medicine residency from Brandon Regional Hospital in Brandon, Florida. He is certified in advanced cardiovascular life support and basic life support.
