About Dr. Gue
Dr. Gue was born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia.
He currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Florida College of Emergency Physicians and serves as Co-Chair of the Membership and Professional Development Committee and the Symposium by the Sea Planning Committee. Dr. Gue is also actively involved in national committees within the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM). He’s also a national speaker, having presented for ACEP, SAEM, the Council of Residency Directors in Emergency Medicine (CORD), and the American College of Osteopathic Emergency Physicians (ACOEP).
Dr. Gue is the recipient of the AdventHealth GME Faculty of the Year Award for 2020, the ACEP Microteaching Award for 2021, the UCF Innovative Teaching Award for 2022, and was selected to the 2022 Class of the ACEP Young Physicians Leadership Society. More recently, he was awarded the UCF Educational Excellence Award and the ACEP National Junior Faculty Teaching Award for 2023.
Dr. Gue Joined Excelis Medical Associates (EMA) as the Emergency Department Residency Director in 2024. His educational interests are focused on developing novel approaches to graduate medical education through the use of interactive curriculum design, gamification, faculty development, and educational scholarship in innovative teaching strategies.

About Dr. Myburgh
Dr. Myburgh joined Excellis Medical Associates (EMA) in 2021. He currently serves on the Trauma Systems and Operations Committee, contributing to the advancement of trauma care protocols. His academic interests include critical care and point-of-care ultrasound, areas in which he is actively involved in both clinical practice and curriculum development.Dr. Myburgh is passionate about mentoring residents and advancing emergency medicine education, making him an integral part of the leadership team at BayCare’s Emergency Medicine Residency Program.

About Dr. Gallego
Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota and raised in South Florida, Dr. Gallego has been a Floridian since the age of 3. He joined EMA and the medical staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in 2007 and became the chair of the Evidence-Based Medicine Committee in 2008. Dr. Gallego became the Director of the hospital-based Emergency Department (ED) Observation Unit in 2017, Associate Director of the Emergency Department in 2018, and was appointed as the Emergency Department Medical Director and Chief of Department in January 2020. He has worked for the NFL as an unaffiliated neurotrauma consultant since 2013. Dr. Gallegos is an active member of several hospital committees and has chaired the BayCare ED clinical pathways committee since 2019 and was appointed to EMA’s Board of Directors in 2021.

About Dr. Richardson
Dr. Richardson grew up in Bethesda, Maryland, just outside of Washington DC. During that time, her family spent their free time vacationing in Pass-A-Grille, Florida. She attended The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned dual graduate degrees – a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Education in Science Teaching. After completing her fellowship training, she and her family moved to Florida so that she could join EMA.Dr. Richardson is currently a partner in EMA and serves as the Pediatric Associate Medical Director for St. Joseph’s Hospital, and St. Joseph’s Hospital -South Children’s Hospitals.

About Dr. Cohen
Dr. Cohen grew up in South Florida. She earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida. While completing her fellowship, Dr. Cohen was a member of the Trauma Committee, Morbidity & Mortality committee, and worked for in the pediatric Emergency Department for Pediatric Emergency Specialists. Dr. Cohen has presented nationally at the American Academy of Pediatrics, Pediatric Hospital Medicine, and Pediatric Academic Societies conferences. She joined Excelis Medical Associates in 2024 and is currently simultaneously completing a fellowship in medical simulation. She is Board-Certified in Pediatrics, and she will serve as our Director of Simulation for the Pediatric Residency and Emergency Medicine Residency Programs.

About Dr. McKinley
Dr. McKinley was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area. She attended Florida State University for undergraduate training where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. While completing her pediatric residency, Dr. McKinley served as Chief Resident and received the Outstanding Professional Award and the Senior Resident Teacher of the Year Award.She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American College of Emergency Physicians. Her educational interests are focused on the growth of resident education, residency curriculum development and wellness. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 4 children and 2 golden retrievers.

About Dr. Loureiro
Dr. Loureiro was born and raised in Brazil but has been a Floridian since the age of 15. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida where he earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science with a minor in Public Health.During his residency training, Dr. Loureiro served as Chief Resident and worked closely with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Pledge Health to support the development of the first ever Emergency Medicine residency program in Mozambique, Africa. Most recently, he served as the founding Co-Chair for the Portuguese Task Force with the International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM) where he helped advance emergency care in Portuguese-speaking countries.
Dr. Loureiro relocated to Tampa, Florida in 2020 to join Excelis Medical Associates (EMA). He is currently a member of the Clinical Excellence Medical Staff Committee at St Joseph’s Hospital and has been the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Director for EMA since 2023.

About Dr. Sobky
Dr. Sobky is a Tampa native. He graduated from the University of South Florida with a degree in Biomedical Sciences. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Sobky has a Master of Theological Studies and is pursuing an MBA from the University of South Florida (USF) Muma College of Business. Prior to joining Excelis Medical Associates (EMA), Dr. Sobky worked as an emergency physician and held a clinical faculty position at the USF Morsani School of Medicine.
Dr. Sobky served as the Chair of EMA’s Patient Satisfaction Committee through 2023. He currently serves as the Medical Director of Disaster Planning for St. Joseph’s Main, Women’s and Children’s Hospitals, co-Medical Director of Emergency Transport Services, and co-Chair of the Hillsborough County Bypass Committee. He is also a member of the Hillsborough County Emergency Medical Planning Council.

About Dr. Gold
Dr. Gold was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. He completed his undergraduate education at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he majored in Integrative Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Gold has been working with EMA and at Baycare since 2022. He has a devotion to resident education and is the current Site Director for rotating residents in the Emergency Department at St. Joseph's Hospital – North. His academic interests include ultrasound and critical care. Outside of the Emergency Department, he enjoys running, mountain biking, and snowboarding.

About Dr. Wright
Dr. Brooks Wright is originally from Orlando, Florida and attended Florida State University for his undergraduate degree. After residency, Dr. Wright took on a role in Las Vegas, Nevada where he was able to contribute as Clinical Faculty to aid in the development of a new residency program.Dr. Wright has been an integral member of the emergency department team at St. Joseph’s Hospital since joining EMA in 2021. At St. Joseph’s Hospital, Dr. Wright continues to provide high-quality, compassionate care in a dynamic and demanding environment. In addition to his clinical responsibilities and leadership on the Code Blue Committee, Dr. Wright is excited to be actively involved in the new residency program at St. Joseph’s Hospital, where he is committed to providing education and mentorship to help residents become successful physicians.
Outside of work, Dr. Wright enjoys running, surfing, traveling, and spending quality time with his wife and daughter. He is dedicated to maintaining a balanced lifestyle and staying engaged with the broader community. He also values career-long learning and enjoys participating in conferences such as ACEP to stay current with developments in emergency medicine and connect with peers.
