Morton Plant North Bay Hospital Recovery Center, part of BayCare Health System, is a facility that provides nursing care to children, adolescents and adults. It includes a 72-bed inpatient psychiatric unit for adults and 25 pediatric beds for children. Our unit offers 24-hour nursing care for adults dealing with behavioral disorders and addictions. Our experienced team is comprised of psychiatrists, social workers, registered nurses, case managers and mental health technicians. Morton Plant North Bay Hospital Recovery Center is the only freestanding Baker Act-receiving private psychiatric hospital in Pasco County.

Services Offered
  • Open 24 hours/day, seven days a week with admission only on weekdays.
  • Immediate assessment, stabilization, triage and inpatient care; length of stay depends on each individual’s needs, usually 3-7 days.
  • A comprehensive range of services for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health disorders and co-occurring substance abuse disorders.

Referral sources include: Internal BayCare programs, inpatient psychiatric, hospital emergency rooms, community providers, public defenders and attorneys, Department of Corrections and private insurers
