La Esperanza Clinic

In 2013, with a generous grant from Allegany Franciscan Ministries, Catholic Charities and St. Joseph’s Hospital opened La Esperanza Clinic in Wimauma. While services had long been provided in the area, this partnership venture paved the way for the long term presence of La Esperanza in the community. Today at La Esperanza Clinic, medical services are free for people not covered by insurance or other programs. To qualify, the patient’s income must be below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
