Imaging Services at St. Joseph's Hospital-South
The St. Joseph’s Hospital-South imaging department serves the South Hillsborough County community and is located on Simmons Loop Road in Riverview. This facility offers a full range of diagnostic imaging services as well as a comprehensive breast center.
Our imaging department is accredited by The Joint Commission and we also carry additional imaging related accreditations with the American College of Radiology, which means we regularly go through a vigorous review process to ensure we meet nationally accepted standards of care. Our imaging technologists are well qualified through education and certification with the State of Florida and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
The radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians that interpret imaging studies and perform interventional procedures are board certified; with many being fellowship trained in subspecialized areas that include cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, vascular and nuclear medicine specialties.
Now offering the latest in 3D mammography, the Shimberg Breast Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital South provides high quality screening and diagnostic breast imaging services in compassionate and tranquil environment. Our breast center is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) and meets the standards set by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).
