Imaging Services at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital
Serving Southwest Pasco County, the Morton Plant North Bay Hospital imaging services department is accredited by The Joint Commission and we also carry additional imaging related accreditations with the American College of Radiology. This means we regularly go through a vigorous review process to ensure we meet nationally accepted standards of care. Our imaging technologists are well qualified through education and certification with the State of Florida and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Morton Plant North Bay Hospital’s Imaging Department features:
- MRI Suite hosts an MRI that provides one of the highest quality MRI exams available and has an open bore design that results in a more comfortable experience for our patients.
- Nuclear Medicine Suite includes cardiac half time imaging with scan times of 8 minutes, as well as a more open bore design that results in a more comfortable experience for our patients. The new nuclear medicine scanner also has a bariatric table to accommodate patients up to 500 lbs.

The radiologists and nuclear medicine physicians that interpret imaging studies and perform interventional procedures at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital are board certified; with many being fellowship trained in subspecialized areas that include cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, vascular and nuclear medicine specialties.
Parking is available in front of the main entrance of the hospital. Patients register at the the Medical Arts Building. The front desk team will welcome you and help you through the registration process.
