The BayCare Metabolic and Bariatric Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital provides compassionate, specialized care for patients seeking safe and effective weight loss surgery in the Tampa Bay area. Our board-certified bariatric surgeons, advanced practice providers and registered dietitians guide you through every step of your weight loss journey.

We offer presurgical evaluations, insurance and benefits assistance, nutrition counseling, personalized education and long-term follow-up care. Our center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons’ Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program, which recognizes high standards of safety and quality.

The Metabolic and Bariatric Center is located in the Healthline building on the BayCare St. Joseph’s Hospital campus, near the MacDill Avenue and West Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard entrance. Visitor parking is available in the 10-story garage. After parking, follow the sidewalk under the blue awning to the Healthline building and take the elevator to the second floor.
