Our physician is board certified in family, integrative and lifestyle medicine. He also has a specialization in medical acupuncture. Dr. Poonkasem believes in an integrative approach to health and wellness, taking into account the mind, body and spiritual connection. His approach will teach you to get back to the basics of nutrition, sleep, exercise and other modalities to rebuild the foundation of health through lifestyle modifications. Integrative medicine is a holistic, patient-centered approach to medicine that strongly emphasizes a collaborative patient-practitioner partnership. It addresses all aspects of a patient’s health and lifestyle, including physical, emotion, mental, social and spiritual well-being. It utilizes any appropriate and evidence-informed modalities and therapies to help patients achieve optimal healing and wellness by leveraging a team of professionals including register dieticians, health coaches, fitness trainers, massage therapists, mental health counselors, and more.
