The St. Anthony's LifeHelp Nutrition & Diabetes Center is certified by the American Diabetes Association

Our commitment is to provide individuals living with diabetes access to the training and knowledge they need to live well and control diabetes. We provide Diabetes Self-Management Training (DSMT) and Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) programs. Our center received renewed re-certification from the American Diabetes Association in accordance with the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education Programs.

We received our initial certification in 2003; since that time, we have continued to set the bar high for excellence in diabetes training and self-management. If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, you owe it to yourself to learn as much as you can about this condition so you can enjoy full quality of life and health. Our team is here to empower you with the information you need to live well with diabetes.

Your First Visit: What to Expect

On your first appointment, a specialist from our team (often a dietitian/certified diabetes educator) will assess your information, listen to your medical history, and provide a complete evaluation based on this data. During this session we will individualize education based around your needs and additional sessions will be discussed.

If you would like us to request a referral from your physician to attend LifeHelp, please contact us at 727-820-7910 or fill out the form. There are charges for some of our services. Health insurance plans often have coverage for Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME). Coverage through Medicare or Medicaid or third-party health insurance may be verified by contacting your insurance provider. BayCare financial assistance applications are available per request.

Our BayCare Corporate Health program offers on-site diabetes education specific to managing diabetes with confidence.
